September 2014 The project „Strengthening qualification of the staff providing social services to children and youth from Moldova”

The project „Strengthening qualification of the staff providing social services to children and youth from Moldova” is implemented by Caritas Czech Republic and the Centre for Investigations and Consultation „SocioPolis” in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family, with the financial support of the Czech Development Agency.This project aims to contribute to the strengthening of knowledge and skills of staff providing social services to children by transferring the best practices and international experience in raising and educating children left behind and children at risk.

A research will be conducted at the national level approaching the needs of children at risk and specialists providing services to these children; 850 specialists working in the field of social protection of children (parent-educators of family-type children homes, professional parental assistants, specialists employed within temporary placement and day care centres, specialists of territorial social assistance structures) will benefit from training.

Based on children’s needs identified, a team of national experts with the support of an international experts will develop the curriculum and a set of teaching resources that will be approved by the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family (MLSP).These will be systematically used for further training of staff working in the field of social protection of children and family.
