March 2013 Children victims of offences and criminal procedure: the case of the Republic of Moldova

The research “Children victims of offences and criminal procedure: the case of the Republic of Moldova” aimed at analyzing the situation from the Republic of Moldova regarding the participation of children victims of offences in legal proceedings (criminal prosecution, trial) and the role of each participant (criminal officer, prosecutor, judge, child, parent /legal representative, guardianship authority, psychologist/teacher) in this process. In this context, we inquired the opinion and experiences of children victims of crimes, judges, prosecutors, criminal officers, representatives of local public authorities and decision makers.

This survey is designed to criminal officers, prosecutors and judges investigating cases of crimes against children; psychologists and teachers providing specialized assistance to children victims of crimes, to parents, children and not least, to decision makers.
